Just back from an excellent, if wet-at-times, weekend at the East of England Show in Peterborough.  The show hosted the first ever Festival of the Working Horse which featured genuine working horses from across the country.  We demonstrated a variety of logging equipment as well as small scale cultivation with horse drawn ploughs, hoes and ridgers.  I was there with my former colleagues Matt and Claudia Waller from Hawthorn Heavy Horses who were there specifically to demonstrate their horse-drawn gang mowers pulled by Holly.

HRH Prince Charles demonstrated his support as the Patron of the British Horse Loggers by attending the festival's first day and found time to talk to us all individually.
